Contemporary Druids celebrate the cycle of the year like most pagans. However, In addition to Equinoxes and Solstices, they also celebrate Cross Quarter festivals. Each festival brings a new ceremony in keeping with the flow of the natural world.

This is the Eight-Fold Year

As the old Celtic year began with Samhain, Druids begin their year of celebrations with that day. This is a time when the veil between the worlds is thinner. Druids remember and honour the ancestors and are in close connection with those on the other side of 'The Veil'.
